I think it depends on your strides, reach, and ability to get low very fast


Probably the stats do favor running, maybe 75-80% of the time (maybe even more). But I think there are individual cases where you can get a better result with a dive. The question is, do they know that in the moment? It’s usually more of an instinctual kind of thing.
